At Wigan Borough Community First, we know that strong communities are built through strong partnerships.
One organisation we’re proud to work alongside is Rebuild with Hope, whose commitment to supporting people through practical training, work experience and community projects makes a real difference across the borough.
Recently, we visited Rebuild with Hope to collect furniture that will be put to good use within our organisations new home at Ashland House (we’ll be welcoming you all in very soon). What could have been a simple collection turned into another great example of why partnerships like this matter.
From the moment we arrived, the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Gordon was, as always, welcoming, friendly and on hand to make everything run smoothly. The trainees involved in the programme were equally impressive, working hard, showing initiative and representing Rebuild with Hope brilliantly.
It was fantastic to see the trainees gaining real, hands-on experience while making a genuine contribution. Their professionalism, positive attitude and willingness to help were a credit to both themselves and the programme.
For us, this wasn’t just about collecting furniture. It was about seeing first-hand the impact Rebuild with Hope has on the people it supports, giving them opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and prepare for future employment.
Partnerships like this strengthen our local voluntary and community sector. By supporting one another, sharing resources and working together, we’re able to make an even greater impact for the people and communities we serve.
