Youth Focus North West, in partnership with Wigan Council, is inviting young people, parents and carers, and professionals to take part in a borough-wide Children and Young People’s Youth Offer Needs Assessment.
The assessment aims to understand whether the activities, services and opportunities currently available for young people aged 11–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, are meeting local needs. The findings will help inform future planning, commissioning and development of youth provision across Wigan Borough.
Three surveys are available to gather feedback from different audiences:
- Young People
- Parents and Carers
- Professionals Working with Children and Young People
Professionals who work or volunteer with young people are encouraged to complete the relevant survey and share the parent and young people’s surveys with those they support where appropriate.
According to Youth Focus North West and Wigan Council, increasing participation is important to ensure the needs assessment reflects a broad range of experiences from across the borough.
The surveys are open until Friday 14 August 2026.
