Living Well

In February 2026, we opened a £5,000 fund with a total pot of £30,000 from the Public Involvement and Engagement Hub to allow community groups to take a lead in finding more about what their community needs and wants to stay healthy, and to engage in conversations about living well. This was a community research project – meaning we paid organisations to ask the community key questions.

We particularly welcomed projects working with communities in Pemberton, Douglas and Worsely Mesnes.


Who Did We Fund?

From 8 total applicants, we funded five organisations across the Borough to carry out this work – these being…

The eagle eyed among you may spot the full £30,000 has not been distributed, with £5,000 left over.

These five applicants were the only ones who got through the panel with successful applications, and we felt it’d be misplaced to fund a project that didn’t pass, essentially for the sake of it – so for now, we’re holding onto it. The use? TBC.
